Class Description:
This training will provide public safety peer support team managers, coordinators and members with the tools necessary to lead their teams effectively. With a focus on collaboration, students will be walked through wellness-based program proposals, implementation and follow through. The course will outline the roles and responsibilities of Peer Support Management, Coordinators, and team members setting the teams up for success and longevity. The course will cover Ca. AB 1117 and how this protection works for Peer Support Members. The course will facilitate developing a complete training matrix for teams to include valuable perishable skills, how to build and maintain relationships, keep healthy boundaries and what confidentiality really means
